BIO
Independent artist Cutter’b Freeman is a multi-faceted musician from Pittsburgh, PA. From producing all his own work to mixing, mastering, engineering, making album artwork and directing his own videos, Freeman shows he isn’t scared of the daily grind that sets other artists back. Freeman’s vocal execution and performance give him a nice edge over the already overcrowded scene in hip hop by blending rap heavy bars with melodic singing to achieve his own style. His sound has been compared to artists such as The Kid Laroi, Mike., Lil Tjay and Post Malone.
Growing up, Freeman developed his songwriting and performance skills primarily playing in local rock bands as a vocalist and guitarist. He discovered rap and instantly fell in love after listening to the likes of Snoop Dogg, Mac Miller, Eminem, and Drake. Not being able to afford studio time or costly beats, Freeman started producing and engineering. Recording local artists and upgrading his own sound at the same time. Helping others achieve success and cultivating his knowledge of the culture has helped Freeman further his passion for the game and his reputation in the world of rap.
His recent single ‘Lifted’ was released with a self-released music video featuring places within Pittsburgh. The video showcases colorful murals from around the city as well as a high point overlooking its tall buildings and bustling crowds. ‘Lifted’ is a high energy dance vibe that draws people in for its danceability, yet connects the audience with lyrical themes of love, heartbreak, partying and introspection.
